Two people are in regional hospitals after a shooting at the Muse Bowling Green apartment complex at 1799 Russellville Road on Tuesday night.
Ronnie Ward, public information officer for BGPD, said the department received a call of shots fired at 7:15 p.m. Ward said officers found two male victims in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.
“At this point in time, we don’t believe their wounds are life threatening, however they are serious,” Ward said Tuesday evening.
Ward said the shooting is believed to be a targeted event and not random. No arrests have been made.
Ward said police are attempting to locate video evidence and locate any witnesses.
Ward said it is too early in the investigation to know if the victims were residents at the Muse or students at Western Kentucky University.
Those with any information on the shooting are urged to call BGPD at 270-393-4000.
