One dead, two injured in head-on collision on Kentucky highway, state troopers say

A head-on collision midday Tuesday killed on person and sent two others to the hospital, Kentucky State Police said.
The Kentucky State Police Post 6 Dry Ridge responded to a two-vehicle collision at US 27 North and Commonwealth Road in Harrison County.
Through preliminary investigation, investigators determined that a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was traveling north bound on US 27 and went left of center striking a 2010 Buick Enclave head-on that was traveling south bound.
The passenger of the Buick was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Harrison County Coroner’s Office.
Both drivers of the vehicles were transported to University of Kentucky Hospital for serious injuries.
No names are being released at this time. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison County Fire Department, Harrison County E.M.S. and the Harrison County Coroner’s Office.
