A Kentucky man is facing murder charges after police say he stabbed a man to death Sunday morning.

Troy Rogers, 36, of Mayfield was charged with murder and taken to the Graves County Jail.

The victim, Devon Saxton, 31, was found dead at approximately 8:20 a.m. Sunday. Saxton was found with a deep wound to the neck on the front porch of a home on South 14th Street. Saxton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials with the Mayfield Police Department says evidence led to Rogers, who has reportedly confessed to killing Saxton.

An autopsy for Saxton was scheduled to be performed Monday at the state medical examiner’s office.
