74-year-old passenger killed in multiple-vehicle collision at Kentucky intersection

A 74-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a multiple-vehicle collision at a Kentucky intersection. Here is what we know about the wreck from Kentucky State Police.
- The fatal collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. near KY 39 and US 150 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County.
- A 2002 Chevy Silverado, driven by Christopher Myrato, 62, of Corbin was traveling south on KY 39 and failed to yield at the right of way.
- The Silverado collided with a 2018 Chevy Cruze traveling west on US 150, driven by Wanda Edwards, 79, of Brodhead, KY. The impact pushed Mrs. Edwards’ vehicle into the path of an eastbound Commercial Motor Vehicle operated by Christina Farris, 47, of Crab Orchard, KY.
- Joseph Edwards, 74, a passenger in the Chevy Cruze, was fatally injured and pronounced dead by the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office.
- Wanda Edwards was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington with non-life-threatening injuries.
- KSP personnel, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, Fire Department, and the Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
