Sheriff’s deputy shot, suspect also injured in Eastern Kentucky

Two people — including a Kentucky deputy — were injured in a shooting Tuesday night, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP trooper assisted the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on a domestic call that led to a pursuit that stopped just inside the Lawrence County line on state Route 201.
During the pursuit, the suspect fired several shots and struck a deputy. The deputy was taken to Pikeville Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were thought to be non-life threatening.
During the incident, the suspect was also shot several times and taken to Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa. His condition is unknown.
