Three people accused of beating, kidnapping a Kentucky man will have their case sent to a grand jury.

Airica Edmunds, 20, Tyler Fugate, 22, and Miracle Surprenant, 36, had their preliminary hearing before Judge Earl Ray Neal in Clark County District Court.

After hearing testimony from Det. Shane Southwood of the Winchester Police Department, the judge concluded there was enough probable cause to send the case over for further proceedings in front of a grand jury.

The trio are charged with kidnapping Russell Gentry the morning of Nov. 5. According to court records, Gentry said that he was allegedly beaten at an apartment off of Hughes Ave., sustaining facial injuries and lost teeth in the process, had his hands bound behind his back, and then allegedly held against his will with what police believe to be a letter opener. Gentry was allegedly taken in his own car to Muddy Creek Road where he was allegedly pushed out of the vehicle.

The charged individuals are still being held at the Clark County Detention Center and each has a $10,000 bond.
